Past, Present & Future

Scoil Earnáin Naofa first opened its doors in 1963. The school originally opened with 4 classrooms. Over time, our school population has grown and to meet this demand an extension of a further 3 classrooms was added in 2007. The existing school building was renovated also at this time. The completed project was officially opened May 2007 by the Bishop of Meath, Michael Smith and the then Junior Minister for Education Barry Andrews. In 2021 we were delighted to add a General Purpose Hall to our school by repurposing one of our classrooms into a much needed indoor space for PE, meetings, assemblies etc.

The school now comprises 5 classrooms, a General Purpose Hall and 2 support rooms. There are currently 7 full-time teachers working in our school. Our school secretary Margaret works part-time every Monday, Wednesday & Friday morning. Ian, our caretaker & Carol, our school cleaner ensure our school is always looking spick & span!

Our Ethos

Our school is a Catholic School and this is central to our ethos.

Fr. Heaney, Delvin Parish Priest is a frequent visitor in our school and together with teachers helps to form the children's belief and understanding in God.

"St. Ernan's N.S. is a Catholic Primary School where we strive to learn together in a happy & safe environment. Everyone is valued, respected and encouraged to do their best."
